This version should fix the problem some users have experienced with the Testimonials page showing blank.
New in version 3.4.2: the option to show testimonials in random order on the Testimonials page
As I have not been able to test it on all versions of WordPress, I am offering it as a Release Candidate for now until I have enough feedback to know the blank page issue is resolved. If you would like to try this version, follow these steps:
- download WP-Testimonials 3.4.2RC and install it in your WordPress plugins directory (overwriting any existing files in the wp-testimonials folder)
- deactivate and reactivate the plugin to force some database updates (be sure you have UNCHECKED the “Remove table when deactivating plugin” box in the settings or you will lose all of your data)
If you try the release candidate, I would appreciate any feedback on if the blank page issue is now resolved as well as other comments you may have about the plugin.
Tried adding a testimonial .It saved OK. Went back and there is no place to edit or delete the added testimonial. Also set up a page and put the short-code in. Nothing displays
Hi,
Sorry I can’t seem to get this to display anything. I am developing a site locally, would this make any difference? The other strange thing I’ve noticed is that it doesn’t seem to save anything I enter. The only testimonial that shows up when I click on edit in the dashboard is yours. I have tried 3.4.1 and 3.4.2
Thanks in advance for your help
David
It’s working. It looks like you can’t be lazy and leave out the Sort Order. Once I had added 0 to that field it worked perfectly. Hope this helps solve the mystery!
