I’ve been considering making this switch for some time. While I love Geeklog, it was starting to be cumbersome for me to go in and blog. I struggle with blogging regularly and need something that makes it as quick and easy as possible to get my thoughts online. If I have to think too much [...]

Sometimes change is good
While I love the Geeklog system, the layout
is a bit on the dull side. I am not a graphics person and until now I had customized

Newest Geeklog release includes HTML text editor
Website owners now have the opportunity to be more hands-on and reduce the need to hire a web designer to make minor site updates. The latest release of the Geeklog content management system includes FCKeditor, an open source HTML text editor.
The editor is similar in nature to common word processing applications. Each text box has a java-based toolbar immediately above it. The toolbar provides the ability to control text formatting (bold, italic, color, size, alignment) and also gives users the ability to insert images, tables and horizontal lines. Other features include adding/removing hyperlinks, copy/paste from Word (with cleanup) and undo/redo buttons.
