Going to the Pepsi 400

I have been a NASCAR fan for years - many years, but have never been to a race. That will all change tomorrow. For the first time I will experience a NASCAR race in person. And of all races for my first time, I get to see the Pepsi 400 at [...]

Excuse me, I think I lost something

They are a group of 11 young men.
They weigh around 20O pounds each.
They seem to have gone missing shortly after the end of last season.
They tend to wear garnet and gold.

Staying competitive in Fantasy baseball

The season is two weeks old and I am proud to say my team is
2nd out of 10 in the Yahoo public league Im playing. Fortunately, I have only had a few injuries
to deal with and my players are batting extremely well. Tom Gordon is the shining star on relief at
the moment with Westbrook and Santana going strong on their starts.

With this rotisserie league, I must keep track of my maximum
games and innings. This is new to me as
I usually play head-to-head. My stats
this morning show me only 0.2 over on pitching with batters averaging out: some
over, some under.

Gearing up for Fantasy Baseball

My fantasy baseball team over at Yahoo just drafted.  I can’t wait for the season to open!  With a team that includes Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Gary Sheffield from the Yankees, how can I go wrong?  I’m a Yankees fan — kinda caught the spirit after living in New York for a few years.  Although I don’t get to see as many games now (we mostly have the Marlins shown here), I try to catch what I can when I can.  I am sure to watch more this year having 3 guys on my fantasy team.

October is my favorite month for sports

As any sports fan will tell you, October is one of the best months of the year. You have the World Series in baseball, the final races in the NASCAR Nextel Cup and football really gets going after working through the opening weeks.

I love sports; just about any kind of sports. Ill sit through a golf match just as easily as a football game. About the only sport I dont watch is hockey and thats mostly because in Florida, hockey isnt exactly a natural fit. I say mostly, because even if I were a hockey fan, I imagine Id have a hard time enjoying the games after the petty bickering and ultimate cancellation of an entire season (plus some!) over athletes salaries.
