Did you get it? The Sims 2 Pets Expansion pack was released Tuesday, October 17. I’ve been anxiously awaiting this pack as I think it will be the best yet. Rather than waste gas driving to the store, I hopped on the EA Downloader and grabbed my copy via digital download.

We’re big Disney channel fans, so my daughter was thrilled to see a Sim version of Hillary Duff and her dog, Lola. She was equally as excited to see Ally and A.J. singing Chemicals React in Simlish; which, I agree was really cool.

I was finally able to sit down for a few minutes with the Pets after dinner last night. I took one of my single guys to the pet store and bought him a dog. Most of the breeds looked very close to their human counterparts. You can modify the look just like you do the human sims. The coats, colors and personality can also be customized.

After Chris and Sheeba returned home, she immediately set to tearing up the couch. Even without a game manual, I was quickly able to figure out how to start training Sheeba to act appropriately. She ate dinner, went for her walk and promptly climbed in bed with her person to sleep. LOL Not much different than my own house.

I haven’t explored the jobs, puppies, playparks or other new features in this pack yet. As soon as I get a few more free minutes, I hope to get back into it.
