Every year we take the kids to a pumpkin patch and let them select a pumpkin to carve. In the early years, they would pick out a pattern and Daddy would dutifully carve the picture.

Now that they are a bit older, they took on the entire task of carving by themselves. Daddy helped cut off the top and taped on the pattern. Other than that, the poking, cutting and carving was all done by the kids.

I must say, I am impressed. The pumpkins came out quite well and are now on display at our front door.
