Sometimes change is good
While I love the Geeklog system, the layout is a bit on the dull side. I am not a graphics person and until now I had customized my site exclusively through the CSS. This was an ok option for the last year, but I found myself wanting more pop and pizzazz on the site.
I started working on the layout, knowing I wanted java menus to better organize my navigation and a stand-out area in the right column. The colors went from green to orange to black to yellow. I finally decided on the combination you see now. After playing around for a few weeks, I was happy with the skeleton, but knew I needed something eye-catching in the header.
Knowing it would be another year if I took on the graphics myself, I enlisted the aid of Website Designer, Ronda Taylor. She took my logo and the information I gave her about the feel I wanted to convey and developed the awesome header bar. (Thanks, Ronda!)
After some soul-searching, I also decided to consolidate my blog under the main site. The Sims 2 blog, reptile blog and everyday thoughts are now located here at SunFrogServices.com. I have also moved over the business blog for the latest SunFrog news.
The forums will continue to expand as new scripts are released. I have just installed a PayPal plugin from Vinny’s Space that will allow me to offer some of my scripts as paid downloads. (keep an eye out for future announcements about script releases)
I hope you find the new website easier to navigate and that it offers you immediate access to what you seek. I really like the new look and am looking forward to blogging all in one place.
