Trying the BugBox for easier cricket feeding
My local PetsMart recently started carrying the BugBox crickets from BugCo. They are pricier than buying them in a crate and I am not sure if there are really 25-30 bugs in each box, but they are convenient. I stop by the store on the way home and open the box right in the cage. The bearded dragons bat the box around waiting for the crickets to brave the opening. Check out the video to see how the BugBox works.
The chinese water dragons aren’t quite so inquisitive. They would rather have the box shaken into their cage so all the feeders come out at once. Of course, the water dragons prefer wax worms over anything else. I drop a dish of wax worms in and they are gone in nanoseconds.
This is certainly a nice alternative to keeping a large cage of crickets in the house. Long-term, it will cost a bit more, but I’m willing to pay for the added convenience of not chasing escaped feeders across the floor.
BugCo calls it “feeding and entertainment”. My guys seems to agree. So far, they are loving the BugBox.
