I was educated about mystical monkey powers this afternoon. While my daughter was watching Disney’s Kim Possible, I commented that Ron was funny. My daughter proceeded to tell me “he’s not funny - that’s how mystical monkey powers work”. So, while I think Ron Stoppable is probably one of the most entertaining (although predictable) characters on the Disney cartoons, today’s humor was apparently just a result of those famous monkey powers of which I was unaware.

My appreciation does go out to the folks who program the Disney channel. They offer a great (read SAFE) lineup during the afternoon hours that I’m comfortable with my kids watching. The moral lessons aren’t as prominent as they were when I was kid (who could miss the ones from Full House or the Cosby Show?), but they’re still there. I even enjoy catching Phil of the Future and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody on occasion.
