Exciting new features added in Sims 2 Nightlife expansion pack
October 9, 2005 by jodi
When EA Games first announced the Nightlife expansion pack for the Sims2, I subscribed to their RSS feed. I wanted to stay on top of the latest developments and to have an idea of what would be available in the release.
I read the reviews, watched the videos and flipped through the screen shots. With the new things introduced in this pack, I was planning on grabbing it from the local EB Games on launch weekend.
Things happened, and I didn’t make it up to EB until yesterday (which, by the way, is the offical merger date between EB Games and GameStop — click here for merger info). I bought my copy of Nightlife and the accompanying Prima Guide.
After finishing our weekend errands, I’m finally sitting down to do the installation. I’ve read through the first chapter of the guide and am happy to see some of the new things in this pack. I don’t know how they work in gameplay yet, but the chemistry, attraction and “scope the room” features sound like great additions to the already abundant features list.
I’m also very happy to finally have a manageable inventory. You can now move items to and from your Sims’ personal inventory. This means, when you move out of a lot, you no longer lose all of your worldly possessions!
I’ll be heading “Downtown” in Nightlife later tonight (I’ve got to finish watching the Kansas Nascar Cup race first!), and will let you know my first thoughts on the new features.
